When it comes to breathtaking wedding venues in New England, the historic Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA is truly a gem. Recently, I had the pleasure of second shooting for the talented Kate from Freebird Photography at a wedding held at this remarkable venue on September 16, 2023.
The day had initially been planned for an outdoor tented reception, but Mother Nature had other ideas. Hurricane Lee had impacted the area, resulting in high winds and forcing us to move the show inside. Despite the unforeseen circumstances, the day turned out to be an unforgettable celebration.
As I arrived at the Crane Estate, the grandeur of the property immediately captured my attention. With its rich history and timeless architecture, I knew this wedding was going to be something special. The bride and groom had chosen a deep green color scheme, which complemented the estate's Italian garden courtyard perfectly. It served as a stunning backdrop for formal portraits, adding an elegant touch to the day.
One of the highlights of the wedding was the weather's unexpected gift. Although the high winds required some adjustments, they also brought about the most breathtaking sunset skies. As the sun began to set, hues of gold, pink, and purple painted the horizon, creating a truly magical atmosphere. We were able to capture some unforgettable moments of the happy couple against this stunning backdrop, immortalizing their love in photographs.
