the (not so) little loft

the little loft is not so little anymore:

As we approach our one-year anniversary, we can't help but reflect on the incredible journey our tiny photography studio in the West Mill Building in North Andover has taken us on. Nestled in just 250 square feet at 4 High St., it's been more than just a space—it's been a hub of creativity, collaboration, and growth for us and the photographers who have graced its floors.

We’ve had the honor of hosting @sydneymanuelephotography’s enchanting book backdrop for the Pages setup, our Cozy Bed setup, @abigail.seabrook’s Victorian Charm, the vibrant BOS setup from @thebosfurniture & @mahoneysgarden, & finally our Floral Mothers Day weekend by @pepper.and.fern.floral.

Each creative endeavor has unfolded within these walls, bringing countless visions to life. But as we celebrate this milestone, we can't help but dream of something more—a bigger space that not only offers more room but also more opportunity, more setups, and more ideas.

And our dreams are about to become a reality. We've found a new space on campus (just 2 doors down the hall in unit #307), and it's everything we've ever hoped for—and more. With a closet (yes, a closet!), it's a massive upgrade from our current storage solution (the couch). But that's not all. Our new studio will also feature a glam room complete with a full-length mirror and hair & makeup chair, making it easier than ever for clients to feel their best during their sessions. This room will also serve as home to many of our client closet dresses, which can be available for your rentals.

From fun props to cozy furnishings, we'll have everything needed to bring any vision to life. One of the most exciting aspects of our new space is its versatility. With different "corners" to explore, we can cater to a variety of styles and themes. From the boho vibes of our permanent canopy bed setup to the everyday lifestyle feel of our couch and coffee table area, there's something for everyone. Here is a quick rundown of what we have in store for the space:

  • Closet: A big, well organized place to keep all of our props and equipment. This also means we can offer MORE props and equipment!

  • A full sized seamless paper backdrop wall (no more of the half sized rolls that have to fit into our couch).

  • Our usual neutral lifestyle area with couch, coffee table, and plants.

  • A permanent boho bed setup! Picture this: a wooden canopy bed draped in white and ivory fabric, white linens, and textured pillows. A boho rug & pompas + dried floral pieces to elevate the space. This inspiration was drawn from Kelsy’s dreamy setup this Spring at the now closed @thenbptstudio Stateroom.

  • Lots of “mix & match” furnishings like chairs, tables, desks, etc.

  • We are hoping to acquire the book backdrop from our Pages setup and have it live in the studio somewhere.

  • Our “glam room” will have a makeup chair & full length mirror, plus a dress rack.

But before we can open our doors to this new chapter, some minor renovations are in order. We'll be adding vinyl wood flooring over the carpet and need to brighten up the walls with a fresh coat of white paint. We anticipate reopening by mid-June and are already planning an open house on Wednesday, June 19th—so mark your calendars!

As we embark on this new chapter, we're filled with gratitude for the journey that has brought us here and excitement for the adventures that lie ahead. Stay tuned for more updates and details—we can't wait to share this next chapter of our story with you all.

Until then, keep dreaming, creating, and capturing the magic of life.
