One of my favorite things about this industry is the community it brings into my life. Over on Instagram, I’ve got a mom group DM filled with some incredible, talented women—fellow photographers, all of whom are juggling the beautiful chaos of motherhood. Some of these women I’ve known for years, others I met during a “meet & greet” when we first opened our studio space, but every one of them feels like part of my creative circle.

We lean on each other for everything—advice, support, a safe space to vent, celebrate, or just be real about the wild ride that is parenting and running a business. So when a last-minute opening popped up in our calendar for The Little Loft, our cozy North Andover studio, I had an idea: “Let’s play!” With only a few days notice, I invited my mom friends to come take advantage of our new spring floral installation. No pressure, just a laid-back content session—kids welcome, of course.

And just like that, we turned an empty time slot into one of my favorite afternoons in the studio.

Five mamas, four daughters (Analise left her boys at home), two beautiful bumps, and one nursing baby later—we had a full-on motherhood content day that filled my heart and my camera roll. Here's a little spotlight on each of the women who brought this spontaneous shoot to life:

Christa is not only a fellow photographer, but also a close friend and returning client. I've had the honor of documenting so many milestones for her and her husband—from their family photos (featuring their sweet pups!) to their pregnancy announcement and gender reveal. We have her “official” maternity session coming up soon, but she didn’t hesitate to jump into this one, too.

She took my cozy outfit inspo and ran with it—then showed up with a total showstopper of her own: a stunning lace dress from House of CB. Since she’s expecting a baby girl, I had to get her into our giant pink tulle gown from the client closet. She absolutely slayed. As the kids say, she ate and left no crumbs.

Next up was Andrea, another talented photographer and one of the most stylish mamas I know. We went in a completely different direction with her look—denim-on-denim, featuring a chambray top that opened slightly to reveal her growing belly, paired with jeans embroidered with sweet little florals.

We used our newest studio addition—our "wall on wheels" (a simple but super versatile white backdrop that we can move around the space). I wanted a minimal, modern look for her portraits, and Andrea brought the exact energy I envisioned.

Becky and her youngest, Charley, closed out our day together. I’ve been photographing Becky’s family since her oldest daughter was born, and I’m so lucky to have her as a client. This time, she came in for a mix of fun mommy-and-me portraits with Charley and some beautifully intimate nursing shots.

These quiet, fleeting moments are the ones that tug at my heartstrings the most. I know how quickly they pass, and I’m so grateful to help my mamas freeze them in time.

Meanwhile, the next generation...
While we were working our magic behind the lens, our crew of little queens were raiding the client closet—trying on dresses ten sizes too big and toppling over in crowns too heavy for their tiny heads. They played, made new friends, and lit up the studio with their laughter. It was the perfect mix of chaos and joy.

I’m so thankful for this group of women. The ability to pull something like this together so quickly, with such beautiful energy and eager participation, is truly a gift. This little moment reminded me just how special our studio community is.
