Capturing Love in Nature: Kristina & Kasey's Engagement Session at Arnold Arboretum

I was thrilled when Kristina and Kasey reached out to me for their engagement photos. Referred by friends whose engagement I had captured at the Boston Public Garden earlier in the spring, they were already familiar with my work and excited to start planning their own session. Kristina and Kasey are Boston locals with a deep love for both each other and the natural beauty that surrounds their city. Naturally, we chose the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University as the perfect setting.

The Arnold Arboretum is a stunning 281-acre preserve nestled in the heart of Boston. With its diverse collection of plants, trees, and blooms that change with the seasons, it offers a picturesque backdrop for capturing love stories. From the moment we discussed the location, I knew it was the ideal place for Kristina and Kasey's engagement session.

Kristina and Kasey wanted their photos to tell a story of fun, connection, and motion. They envisioned a session full of movement, capturing their dynamic and genuine chemistry as they explored the arboretum. To achieve this, I focused on using prompts rather than traditional poses, encouraging them to interact naturally and let their love shine through in every shot.

One of the highlights of my engagement sessions is the complimentary bottle of bubbly I provide for some playful "champagne popping" photos. Kristina and Kasey had a blast with this, their laughter and joy captured beautifully in the candid shots.

As we continued our walk through the arboretum, we stumbled upon a part of the preserve I had never visited before. Surrounded by towering trees, the atmosphere felt almost magical. Kristina and Kasey walked hand in hand, snapping a few polaroids of each other along the way. Of course, I made sure to capture a polaroid of them together, a sweet memento they could take home from this unforgettable day.

The entire session was a testament to their genuine connection and love for one another. Kristina and Kasey’s joy and affection were palpable, making my job as a photographer incredibly rewarding.
