Ashlyn & Bill’s Wedding at GlenPharmer Distillery | Franklin, MA
Some weddings are more than just an event—they’re a journey, a celebration of love, resilience, and unforgettable moments. Ashlyn and Bill’s wedding was all of that and more. Having known Ashlyn for years, this day felt like coming full circle. After all, Ashlyn and her sister did my hair and makeup for my own wedding years ago, so when she asked me to capture hers, it was the easiest “yes” ever!
From Chilly Engagements to Warm Vows
Our journey together began on a frosty December morning for their engagement session. With their adorable new puppy, Mac, in tow, we started the day at Bar25 in Newburyport, a spot that hinted at the sleek, sophisticated vibes of their wedding day. Then, we wandered through downtown Newburyport, capturing cozy, outdoor moments with Mac stealing the show.
Fast forward to November 2024, and the day was finally here—Ashlyn and Bill’s wedding at the unique and stunning GlenPharmer Distillery in Franklin, MA.
A Day to Remember
The morning began with the couple getting ready at a nearby hotel surrounded by their closest family and friends. Laughter, nerves, and excitement filled the air as Ashlyn and Bill prepped for their big moment. Once at the venue, the magic truly began.
Their first look, shared in front of the distillery’s beautifully lit footbridge, was intimate and emotional—just the two of them soaking in a quiet moment before the whirlwind of the day took over. Afterward, we moved into group shots and formal portraits, making the most of the gorgeous venue and efficient planning (seriously, this wedding ran so smoothly!).
The ceremony itself was full of heartfelt surprises. With a last-minute officiant change (thanks to the original officiant’s baby making an early arrival!), Ashlyn and Bill’s vows brought everyone to tears. It was clear to all how much love they share and how deeply they’ve supported each other through life’s challenges.
A Feast for the Eyes and the Soul
Post-ceremony, we ventured into the distillery for some intimate newlywed portraits, even sneaking into the barrel room for some moody, romantic shots. Then, it was time to celebrate!
The reception was beautifully curated, with tables adorned with layers of white florals and glowing candles. And let’s talk about the food—braised short rib for the vendors? Yes, please! Every detail was thoughtfully planned, but it was the emotional moments that stood out most.
Ashlyn’s father delivered a tear-jerking speech, followed by a heartfelt prayer from Bill’s mother. Then, Ashlyn herself shared a touching gesture, dedicating her tossing bouquet to a dear friend who supported her through her cancer journey last year. It was a moment filled with gratitude, love, and not a single dry eye in the house.
Dancing the Night Away
When dinner wrapped, the party truly began. The dance floor came alive with vibrant personalities, glowing wands, and colorful cocktails. The energy was electric, and it was clear this was a group that knew how to celebrate.
To top it all off, as our time officially ended, Bill gave us the ultimate send-off: “You’re off the clock, put your gear away, grab a drink, and get on the dance floor.” And so we did!
